Comparison of patients’ satisfaction of intramuscular injection via two methods of self-control and muscular injection: attending to ethical criteria in patient care

Introduction: Postoperative analgesia reduces complications, length of stay and be patient Methods of pain control is a new approach by the patient because the patient satisfaction will be analgesia The purpose of this study was to compare pain control methods and procedures by intramuscular injection on patient satisfaction After abdominal surgery. Methods: This randomized clinical trial on 60 patients randomly into two equal groups Intramuscular injection (30 patients) and patients control their pain (30 patients) was performed. All patients were anesthetized with the same terms and standards. Intramuscular injection of 50 mg pethidine for pain control in the group with a placebo serum And control their pain by the patient through an intravenous pump 1mg/kg/h Pethedin in 50cc normal saline% 0/09 speed 2cc/h was injected The satisfaction of both groups was measured by a visual analog scale. Mann-Whitney U test was used for data analysis. Results: Level of satisfaction High satisfaction group and the control group was 67 percent intramuscular injection pain had increased by 57 percent satisfaction. The Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference (P <0/045) Conclusion: The methods of pain control to patients by a new method of analgesia surgery Cause most patients are satisfaction
