Evaluation of Study Approaches in Medical Students of Jahrom University of Medical Sciences: A Cross-Sectional Descriptive Study in 2018

Introduction:  Methods and study skills are a combination of techniques and techniques that can be used to make the study easier, faster and more enjoyable, As a result, the reader's interest in the study increases. The present study aimed to evaluate Study Approaches in Medical Students of Jahrom University of Medical Sciences in 1397.
Methods: This cross-sectional, descriptive study was On 101 medical students of Jahrom University of Medical Sciences in 1397. The criteria for entering the study include studying medicine and the exclusion criteria included lack of cooperation and consent to participate in the study Data collection tools consisted of demographic information and standard questionnaire of Study approaches. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 24 and were used Descriptive (mean, percent) and analytical (t-test and one way ANOVA) for statistical analysis.
Results: The average age of participants was 22 years in this study The mean of deep, surface and strategic approaches were 58.27, 53.66, 70.47, respectively. The results of the statistical tests for the research hypothesis did not show difference significant statistical between gender, age, and profound, superficial and strategic studies (p> 0.05). However, there was a significant correlation between the deep study studies and the academic year, as well as between the strategic study and marital status (p> 0.05).
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the predominant study approach used in the students was a strategic study approach.
