Introduction:
With the increase in the elderly population and their continuous hospitalization, it has caused the spread of chronic diseases among them. One of the complications that affects the elderly after hospitalization is pressure ulcer, which requires local tools to prevent it.
Method: The current research was conducted based on the stages of localization of the clinical guide (Adaptation) of the international network of clinical guidelines, in three stages of preparation, localization and finalization of the compiled clinical guide. During the study, by searching for the available resources and evaluating them by experts with Egri 2 tool, a draft clinical guide was prepared and in the finalization stage, it was revised by the target users including: doctors and nurses and using the RAM technique. A panel of experts was organized and the text of the clinical guide was compiled in the form of systematic and valid expressions, flexible, transparent, reviewable, clinically auditable and capable of being implemented in the clinical environment.
Discussion: Clinical medicine guidelines in a systematic way, with reference to valid research evidence, helped health service providers to increase safety, effectiveness of interventions, analysis of national conditions and needs; Therefore, the localization of clinical guidelines in the field of pressure ulcer prevention in hospitalized elderly people, which is necessary due to the increase in their population and the lack of a written and evidence-based clinical guide in this field.
Conclusion: Localization of the clinical guidelines for the prevention of pressure ulcers in the hospitalized elderly, for the use of treatment team members, which was done with the ADAPTE method.
