Introduction: Spiritual health has an impact on the health, well-being, and quality of life of patients. Helping to meet patients' spiritual health needs is known to be an essential element of nursing care. The aim of the present study was to explain strategies for promoting patients' spiritual health from the perspective of nurses.
Methods & Materials: The present study was conducted qualitatively and with a content analysis approach during the period from 18th April 2024 to 19th January 2025. The participants included 30 nurses working in general and intensive care wards of teaching hospitals in Isfahan, who were included in the study through purposive sampling with maximum diversity method. The data collection method included individual semi-structured interviews. After recording and implementing, all data were analyzed through qualitative content analysis using the Granheim method and using Max Quda software, version 2020.
Results: In order to extract "solutions to improve patients' spiritual health from the perspective of nurses", by analyzing the data, 740 primary codes, 14 subcategories and 6 main categories emerged: improving psychological support for patients, improving social support for patients, reforming the structure of nursing education, effective management of human resources, strengthening inter-professional collaboration, and providing a spiritual environment in health-treatment centers.
Conclusion: According to the results extracted in the present study, managers should adopt strategies in the operational plan of health centers to improve the quality of spiritual care, to improve psychological and social support for patients, reform the structure of nursing education, train health team members in spiritual care, improve human resource indicators, improve nurses' job motivation, meritocracy, improve inter-professional collaboration, and provide a spiritual environment in hospitals.
