The Journal of Education and Ethics in Nursing aims to be the main channel of data communication, and sharing of ideas, and information to the scientific research community. Therefore, it is mandatory for us to observe certain ethical principles, and it is recommended to strictly observe the following ethical principles to increase the quality of the published works.
The authors of the Journal of Education and Ethics in Nursing are committed to following and applying the "International Standards for Authors" of the Publication Ethics Committee in designing and guiding the process of reviewing and publishing the journal and dealing with issues related to it. Authors should read the publication ethics standards and fully apply them to their works. Authors submitting articles confirm that they understand that the manuscript has been read and approved by all authors and that all authors agree to submit the article to the Journal of Nursing Education and Ethics and adhere to the principles of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The ICMJE recommends that authorship be based on the following 4 criteria: significant contribution to the idea or design of the work; or acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the article and draft work or its critical revision and final approval of the version to be published and agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the study in ensuring that questions about accuracy or the integrity of any part of the work have been properly investigated and resolved.
All authors must have the necessary conditions and credit after submitting the article. Contributors who do not qualify as authors should be listed in the Acknowledgments section. In addition, authors are advised to strictly adhere to the following ethical principles: Submitted manuscripts must contain original and new results, data, and ideas that have not been submitted for publication to other journals and have not been published elsewhere. Falsification of data and results, theft of intellectual property, and plagiarism are unacceptable and outside the ethics of an author.
Data falsification consists of reporting untrue content and presenting fictitious data or results as laboratory results, experimental studies, or personal findings. Unreal recordings of what did not happen or moving the results of different studies are examples of this violation. Distortion of data means recording and presenting the research results in such a way that the details of the research implementation or the data collection process are manipulated, data is deleted or changed, or some small results are magnified to hide the bigger facts so that the research results meet the objectives, reach a certain point, or the results presented should not be doubted. Plagiarism includes close adaptation of the thoughts and expressions of other authors, copying in the expression of thoughts, structural similarities in the writing, or attribution of ideas and results of others without proper reference, or introducing it as original scientific research. Even using another person's sentence or your previous sentences without mentioning the source is considered plagiarism. Manipulation of sources is not allowed by inserting multiple sources in the final part of the article while they are not mentioned in the content of the text, or to insert a fake source for any part of the content of the article, or intentionally update the date of the sources. Scientific rent means that the author hires another person to do the research and after the end of the research, he publishes it in his name with little interference. Unreal attribution means the author's unreal attribution to an institution, center, educational, or research group that had no role in the original research. Resubmission of an article or a part of it that is under review and printing in a domestic or foreign publication cannot be resubmitted to other publications. Overlapping publication is not allowed, you cannot publish the data and findings of your previous articles with a slight change in articles with a new title. Improper attribution of another author, all authors listed in the article must have contributed to it.
Information obtained through various media should be presented in the article only with the prior permission of the owner of the source of information or data.
They must properly cite the work they use. Authors are advised to check all references before submitting an article.
They cannot advertise their works in any way and through any media.

"National guide to ethics in publishing"
Introduction
The ever-increasing growth of medical knowledge owes to the daily efforts of researchers in this field in conducting various researches in order to answer existing questions and solve problems in the field of health. Compliance with ethical standards in all stages of research, from design to implementation and publication of biomedical research results, is the main concern of all stakeholders, including policymakers, editors of publications, and researchers in various fields and disciplines of medical sciences. In this regard, many activities have been carried out at the international level in order to increase the assurance of compliance with ethical standards in the publication of research works. International organizations in charge of publishing ethics, including the International Committee on Publishing Ethics or the International Committee of Editors of Medical Journals, have been trying to spread the culture of observing ethical principles in the publication of medical research for many years by presenting various guidelines. At the national level, the National Committee on Ethics in Biomedical Research of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education as a national authority on issues related to ethics in biomedical research in the country in line with its inherent duties and in order to create transparency and unity The procedure in the country, as well as greater coordination with international standards, including the guide of the International Committee on Publishing Ethics, the requirements of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, the policy statement of the World Association of Medical Science Editors and the guide of the Council of Scientific Editors, compiled this guide and It has been approved. Any violation of the standards announced in this guide is considered an example of a research violation, and the committees based on the "Instructions for Handling Research Violations" announced in September 2015 and the Law on "Prevention and Dealing with Fraud in the preparation of scientific works" approved on August 31st, 2017. The Islamic Council is authorized to deal with research misconducts. It is necessary to use this guide as a basis for judging the complaints received and the cases in hand. review The Secretariat of the National Ethics Committee in Biomedical Research of the relevant ministry is responsible for monitoring the implementation of this guide.
Chapter 1: Conditions of writing articles and scientific works Article
1-1: A person is considered the author of an article who has the following four conditions at the same time.
Conditions 1 and 2 have subsets between which there is the word "or", which indicates that having any of them is enough to achieve conditions 1 or 2. Between the main conditions 1 to 4, there is the phrase "and", which emphasizes that the author of the article must have all four conditions 1, 2, 3, and 4 at the same time:
Condition 1: The person must have effective and significant cooperation in at least one of the following subcategories: A: presenting a research idea or B: designing a study or C: collecting data or D: analyzing and interpreting data
Condition 2: The person must collaborate in writing the initial version of the manuscript or in revising and reviewing it critically, so that the text changes and evolves in terms of scientific content. It is clear that people qualify for the condition that they have the necessary scientific qualification for critical review based on their scientific experience and academic or work history.
Condition 3: The person must have approved the final version of the manuscript before publishing the study.
Condition 4: He must accept responsibility for all aspects of conducting research leading to an article, including the responsibility of complying with the general and specific guidelines and guidelines of ethics in research approved by the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education in designing, conducting and publishing the article. In such a way that he can answer all the questions raised about the accuracy of the research content and its writing. The person must either have performed the various stages of the work in compliance with scientific, technical and ethical standards, or be confident in the integrity and scientific ability of those who have performed the various stages of the work.
Note 1: It is forbidden to remove the name of the person or persons who meet the four conditions of authorship of the article from the list of authors (hidden author).
Note 2: It is forbidden to add the name of a person or persons who do not meet the four conditions of authorship in the list of authors (guest author).
Note 3: The moral and legal responsibility of mentioning the names of the people whose names are listed among the authors of the article without having all the conditions of authorship, or whose names have been removed from the list of authors despite having the conditions of authorship, is with all the authors of the article.
Note 4: The requirement to have authorship conditions also applies to research teams that have multiple members, and merely being a member of a research group or the existence of a person's name as a research project collaborator does not create the necessary conditions for being an author. However, even if all the people who have the criteria mentioned in condition 1 of article 1-1, even if they have stopped their cooperation with that center or research team, it is necessary to find the opportunity to participate as an author by observing other conditions of authorship. and the history of this matter must be recorded in writing.
Note 5: In the articles that result from student theses, the authors, including the relevant student, supervisor(s), advisor(s), etc., must meet all the four conditions mentioned in Article 1- have 1
Note 6: Cooperation in matters such as preparing and providing research budgets, providing cross-sectional consultations including statistical and methodological consultations, creating or making available laboratory facilities, conducting tests related to patients or research samples, or referral and introducing patients to researchers to participate in the research will not create sufficient conditions to include the name of the practitioner in the list of authors of the article resulting from the research activity; Even if the even if people have not received a fee for providing the said service.
Note 7: All the people who have cooperated in the support, design, implementation, writing or other stages of the research, but do not have all the four necessary conditions for authorship, should be thanked in the "appreciation and thanks" section of the article.
Note 8: A person who is only a translator or manuscript editor does not have the conditions of authorship. In the case that the translation of the text is done by a translator other than the authors, it is necessary to mention this issue in the "Acknowledgment and Thanks" section and thank the translator.
Article 1-2: Having executive responsibility, including the head of a department, department, faculty, university, research center, or having any expert and managerial position at any level automatically leads to the ownership of the data in that collection and the creation of authorship rights and Therefore, the name will not be included in the list of authors of the articles resulting from that data.
Note: Any direct or indirect coercion or requirement of referring persons for the legal use of information, samples and data available in centers and institutions, including health centers, hospitals and the like, to place the name of a specific person or persons in The category of the authors of the article is abuse of the position and it is considered a research violation.
Article 1-3: If one or more researchers with potential authorship conditions oppose writing and publishing an article resulting from a research project or thesis, it will be possible to send and publish the article by other authors only if requested by that category. Colleagues who wish to publish the results of the research should be examined by the ethics committee in academic research and permission to publish the article should be issued. If permission is obtained, it is forbidden to include the names of people who do not meet the conditions listed in Article 1-1, including the opposing person, in the article, unless the mentioned people agree to the publication and meet the authorship conditions.
Note: In case it is not possible to reach some people who can become writers, it is necessary for those writers who want to publish an article to make all their efforts to reach the mentioned person and in If the mentioned person or persons are still not available, the manuscript will be published only if this matter is approved by the research ethics committee of the university where the first author or corresponding author works. In any case, no person's name should be included in the list of authors without his knowledge and approval of the final text of the manuscript.
Article 1-4: The author of the corresponding party (called the responsible author) is one of the authors of the manuscript who, due to his scientific position and role in the study (for example, the main executive of the project or the first supervisor of the thesis) by The other authors are responsible for the correspondence and responding to the ambiguities and objections raised about the manuscript or article, and transferring important opinions and correspondence to other authors and regulating the relations between the authors.
Note 1: Using the title of responsible author does not mean that the corresponding author is solely responsible for the accuracy of the research and its report. This responsibility is the responsibility of each author. Considering the misunderstandings that may be caused by the use of the word responsible author, using the title "corresponding author" is more suitable for this position.
Note 2: In large-scale national and international researches that have been carried out by a large research team with a large number of researchers, and the role of the authors in writing the article has been limited to a limited and specialized section, the responsibility of each of the authors is for their respective specialized section. He is limited.
Note 3: The corresponding author is one of the authors of the article who has the scientific ability and enough time to establish the necessary relationship between other authors and scientific journals. The first supervisor and the main executor of the research projects have priority to be recognized as the corresponding author, unless the conditions of having this position include not having enough time to fulfill the duties of the corresponding author, therefore having a higher academic rank and or more scientific ability is not required in this field, although it is recommended that a person who has a well-established scientific position in the relevant field undertake this task.
Note 4: In special and exceptional cases, journals have the authority to include the name of more than one person as the first author or correspondence party. In this regard, it is necessary for the publication to adopt and announce clear policies on this matter. For any article that has more than one first author or corresponding author, it is necessary to clearly explain the reason for this decision in the subtitle of the same page.
Article 5-1: The order of the names in the section of the authors of the article is determined based on the participation of each individual and through their collective agreement, and factors such as the academic rank of the individuals, scientific position, national and international reputation of the authors play a role in the order of the names. will not have
Note 1: The person who contributed the most in the activities listed in condition 1 of article 1-1 will be the first author. In the case of student theses, where the student has prepared the initial version of the manuscript, the first author is the student.
Note 2: It is more appropriate to write the name of the corresponding author as the last author.
Note 3: In case the authors do not agree on the order of names in the list of authors, it is necessary to submit a request signed by all authors, with a detailed indication of the amount of cooperation of each person, to the research ethics committee of the university that approves the research project. If the production of the relevant manuscript is sent, the decision of the said committee will be binding for all stakeholders.
Article 6-1: Mentioning an unrealistic academic affiliation for any reason, including for the purpose of increasing the publications of a particular research center, institute or university, is ethically unacceptable and considered a research violation.
Note 1: It is necessary for the author to declare his organizational affiliation to the institution in which he is active at the time of submitting the manuscript, even if the researcher's organizational affiliation has changed during the period of conducting the research or submitting the manuscript. If the author has a commitment to the institution where the research is conducted to use the affiliation at the time of conducting the research, it is necessary to mention both affiliations of the author.
Note 2: It is necessary for academic staff members and researchers of universities and higher education institutions to use the academic and official e-mail as much as possible when mentioning their organizational affiliation and address in the articles.
