چکیده

: توسعه‌‌ی روز افزون علوم پزشکی و بهداشتی فرصت بیشتری را برای ادامه‌ی زندگی در اختیار بیماران قرار داده است. در این میان افزایش بدون کیفیت طول عمر بیمارانی که در مرحله‌ی انتهایی زندگی قرار دارند، ارائه‌ دهندگان مراقبت از جمله پرستاران را با چالش‌هایی در زمینه‌ی نجات بخش بودن یا بیهوده بودن مراقبت ارائه شده مواجه ساخته است. این پژوهش با هدف تعیین درک پرستاران بخش‌های مراقبت ویژه نسبت به مراقبت بیهوده صورت گرفته است.
روش کار: مطالعه‌ی حاضر پژوهش توصیفی- مقطعی بوده که بر روی 170 نفر از پرستاران بخش‌های مراقبت ویژه‌ی بیمارستان‌های استان خراسان جنوبی در سال 1393 انجام شده است. پرستاران مورد پژوهش به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. داده‌ها با استفاده از پرسشنامه‌ی پژوهشگر ساخته 17 سوالی (از نظر تکرار و شدت) جمع‌آوری شده و توسط نرم افزار Spss نسخه‌ی 16 و آزمون‌های آماری توصیفی (میانگین و انحراف معیار، فراوانی و فراوانی نسبی) و تحلیلی (تی تست، آنالیز واریانس و ضریب همبستگی پیرسون) مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.
یافته‌ها: نتایج حاکی از آن است که میانگین نمره‌ی درک پرستاران نسبت به مراقبت بیهوده در بعد شدت (46/0±2/3) و در بعد تکرار (2/1 ±7/3 ( بوده است. بین میانگین نمره‌ی مراقبت بیهوده با سن، تعداد سال‌های خدمت و نوع بخش رابطه‌ی معنا داری به دست آمد (05/0P < ).
نتیجه‌گیری: سطح متوسط درک پرستاران از مراقبت بیهوده، لزوم توجه و برنامه‌ریزی در زمینه‌ی آشناسازی پرستاران با این پدیده و علل پیدایش آن و هم‌چنین ارائه‌ی آموزش‌هایی را در زمینه‌ی استفاده از مکانیزم‌های سازگاری در جهت کاهش عوارض طلب می‌نماید.

Introduction:
The increasing development of medical and health science has provided the patients with more opportunities to continue their lives. Meanwhile, the prolonged, yet miserable, longevity of patients whose days are numbered has confronted care providers including nurses with the challenges concerning the productivity or futility of the provided care. Thus, this study has been conducted with the aim of determining the perception of intensive care unit nurses to futile care.
Methods and Materials:
This study was a cross-sectional study and was carried out on 170 nurses in intensive care units of hospitals in South Khorasan province in 2014. The studied nurses were selected by available sampling. Data were collected using a 17-item questionnaire (in terms of frequency and severity) developed by the researcher and was analyzed by SPSS software version 16 and descriptive-statistical methods (mean, standard deviation, frequency and relative frequency) and analytical methods (t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient).
Results:
The results showed that the mean score of perception of nurses to futile care for nothing in the intensity (0.46 ± 3.2) and (1.2 ± 3.7) in terms of intensity and frequency, respectively.
