Abstract Introduction: Nurses in infants and children wards, like other nurses, are permanently involved with death issue. Several factors influencing the attitudes of nurses to care for dying patients have been mentioned in various sources. Due to cultural differences among different nations, the researcher tried to explore the relationship between demographic characteristics of nurses in department of infants and children participating in the training course of caring for dying patients' and their attitudes toward caring for dying patientsin order to find a number of influential factors on the attitude of nurses. Materials & Methods This study is a quasi-experimental single-group study with 60 eligible nurses of infants and children wards who attended in the study and participated in a training course on caring for dying patients. To measure nurses' attitudes, reliable questionnaires related to infants and children departments and demographic questionnaire were used. Results: The variables of age (0.485), work experience (0.318), and attended University (0.720), marital status (0.414) and the service sector (0.852) were analyzed by using the Mann-Whitney test and the variables of hospital service (0.172) and the frequency of exposure to dying patients (0.552) were analyzed through using Kruskal-Wallis test and it was found that there was no significant relationship between demographic charectristics and attitude of nurses. Conclusion: Since there were no meaningful difference between demographic characteristics and nurses' attitudes, death education for nursing society seems to be essential.
