Introduction: Objective evaluation of clinical and professional competency is one of the most important aspects in medical students' clinical education. Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) evaluates a large spectrum of technical and basic skills in an experimental setting. The present study was carried out in order to comparing two methods of evaluation, traditional evaluation   and objective structured practical evaluation (OSPE) on the satisfaction of nursing students.
Method: This study is a quasi-experimental pilot   research, the research units were 12 Master's Students of Nursing Care in the second half of 1396. Both practical appraisal methods with objective and traditional structure were evaluated at the end of the course. Data were gathered through a questionnaire of satisfaction and a checklist of clinical questionnaires after confirmation of validity and reliability. The final score and student satisfaction rate were compared on the basis of the score obtained in two ways.
Results:  %87 of students satisfied or very satisfied with the OSPE. But the mean scores of students in the traditional method were 17.22 and 16.27, respectively.

Conclusion: Nursing students were satisfied with OSPE method in this study, it seems necessary to promote this evaluation method in nursing faculties.
