Introduction:
The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between organizational ethics and organizational commitment among Red Crescent Society employees (RCS).
Methods & Materials:
In this descriptive-analytic study, 93 (75 male and 18 female) employees participated in a research in a census sampling method. Three tools including demographic questionnaire, Victor & Cullen questionnaire and Allen & Mayer questionnaire were used to measure the variables. After sampling and collecting questionnaires, the collected data were entered into SPSS and analyzed with descriptive indexes and analytical tests including Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, one sample t-test, Pearson test, variance analysis and regression.
Results:
Descriptive findings showed that the mean of organizational ethics and organizational commitment were 93.35 ± 16.69 and 99.27 ± 19.24 respectively. In addition, organizational ethics had a positive significant relationship with organizational commitment (p <0/05) and organizational ethics could predict 7.6 percent of organizational commitment.
Conclusion:
According to the results of the study, organizational ethics and organizational commitment were both high and in preferred situation among RCS employees (p <0/05). It seems that in the Red Crescent society, the employees’ compliance with ethics affects their organizational commitment. In this regard, it can be said that by increasing the morale of their employees, health service provider organizations can upgrade their organizational commitment, as well as providing better services to their clients.
