Introduction: Nursing education faces theoretical and clinical complexities. By helping the appropriate field and conditions, nursing students can earn knowledge and skills for their future profession. Familiarity with the interpretation of arterial blood gas tests is one of the nurses' education requirements in Intensive Care Units. The use of new educational methods is recommended to increase the knowledge and skills of nursing students. Therefore, this study aimed to compare the training through workshop and mobile on the level of learning interpretation of arterial blood gas tests in nursing students of IranShahr.
Materials & Methods: This was a quasi-experimental, educational intervention study that compared two methods impact on learning to interpret the arterial blood gas test. A workshop was held for 53 students of Azad University and 30 students of the faculty of nursing in Iranshahr received the necessary training via, Emobile and electronic booklet sharing. The researcher made questionnaire was completed before and after training in both groups. Analysis of information were performed with SPSS 22, descriptive and analytical statistics.
Results: In this study, both methods were associated with increased scores but in a group with, Emobile average
student learning score (16.47±4.04) significantly was more than workshop (13.42±8.1) and that difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Considering that mobile phone is easily accessible and also causes its own characteristics, including
transmission technology, availability, and time flexibility, and can play a significant role in training. The use of this tool for educational purposes can cover many learners. Also due to its special features such as telecommunication, flexibility of time and place can play a significant role in education. Today, Emobile are easily available, on the other hand, use this tool can cover a large number of learners .It is recommended as an alternative method or use other training supplements for educational purposes.
