Materials and Methods: This study was conducted using scientometrics and bibliometric analysis map drawing on 2957 scientific documents published in the Web of Science database in the field of nursing ethics. The search was conducted without a time limit using the keywords ‘nursing’ and ‘ethics’ in the subject of the articles.
Results: The highest number of scientific documents was in 2022 with 297 articles. Most of the scientific papers in this field were in the form of original research papers. The United States had the most scientific productions. The evolution process of the keywords of scientific documents shows that the subject of the research was initially emphasized on the identification of the nature of nursing ethics. Then it evolved toward the evaluation of nurses in terms of nursing ethics and ways to improve it. Currently, studies are focused on the use of nursing ethics in practice and its problems.
Conclusion: The upward trend of scientific productions in the field of nursing ethics over the last two decades indicates that this field is welcomed by researchers. Identifying new ethical challenges and providing solutions for them are frequent topics in recent years that researchers are encouraged to investigate.
