چکیده

مقدمه: شأن و منزلت انسانی از دیر باز مد نظر صاحب نظران دینی و حقوق بشر بوده و امروزه نیز در نظام‌های سلامتی و حقوق بیماران مورد توجه زیادی می‌باشد.
روش کار: در مطالعه مروری حاضر با کلید واژه‌های شأن و منزلت انسانی، کرامت انسانی، حریم بیمار و قلمروی بیمار در پایگاه های علمی فارسی زبان و با کلید واژه‌های privacy و dignity در پایگاه های علمی انگلیسی زبان، مقالات موجود بین سال‌های 1990 تا 2013 جستجو و بررسی شدند.
یافته‌ها: حریم و خلوت به عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین ابعاد شأن و منزلت انسانی دارای چهار بعد فیزیکی، روانی، اجتماعی و اطلاعاتی است. یکی از محل‌هایی که در آن حریم انسان‌ها بسیار مورد تهدید و تهاجم قرار می‌گیرد محیط‌های درمانی است. رعایت حریم برای ایجاد ارتباط موثر کارکنان درمانی با بیماران و حفظ آرامش آنان بسیار ضروری است و نقض آن می‌تواند باعث اضطراب، پرخاشگری و امتناع بیمار از معاینه فیزیکی، پنهان نگه‌داشتن بخشی از تاریخچه بیماری و در مجموع افت کیفیت خدمات شود.
نتیجه گیری: با توجه به این که امروزه ارتقاء کیفیت خدمات در سر لوحه مراقبت‌های درمانی قرار دارد، حفظ حریم بیماران اهمیت بیشتری یافته است. از آن جایی که این مقوله با حوزه پرستاری در ارتباط تنگاتنگ می‌باشد، از یک سو گنجانیدن آموزش‌های مرتبط خاصی در سرفصل دروس دانشجویان پرستاری و آموزش ضمن خدمت پرستاران ضروری است و از سوی دیگر، لزوم مطالعات بیشتر در این خصوص احساس می‌شود.

چکیده [English]

Introduction:
Human dignity has been considered by religious authorities for a long time and is recognized today in health systems and patient rights.
Materials and Methods:
This review article surveyed the articles published from 1990 to 2013. Keywords including human dignity, human status, patient’s privacy and patient’s personal space were used to search scientific Persian databases. Dignity and privacy were used as keywords to obtain articles from scientific English databases.
Results:
As one of the most significant aspects of human dignity, privacy consists of four dimensions: physical, psychological, social and informational. Care and treatment environments are places where patients’ privacy is commonly invaded. Respecting Patients' privacy is essential for establishing effective communication between patient and treatment team and creating a peaceful milieu for patients. Violation of patients’ privacy may lead to patients’ anxiety, aggression, refusal of physical examination, and concealing medical history which subsequently reduces the quality of services.
Conclusion:
Since quality improvement is a blueprint for all health care practices, protecting patients' privacy have gained greater significance. It is tightly related to the sphere of nursing, and thus, relevant trainings must be included in nursing students’ educational curriculum and their service training. Further studies are also required to investigate different aspects of this problem.
